RGB Networks, an expert in network video processing, has announced the hiring of Simone Sassoli as Vice President, International. In this position he will be responsible for RGB’s sales throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
“As video service providers around the world begin their trials and deployments of multi-screen services, we are experiencing significant interest in our integrated three screen transcoding and advertising solution. Our Video Multiprocessing Gateway is already the product of choice with several strategic operators, and as interest and excitement continues to grow, we need someone with Simone’s experience and relationships to capitalise on our momentum and leadership position in this area to significantly expand our market share in Europe and Asia,” said Jef Graham, CEO of RGB Networks. “Adding strong international growth to the sustained success that we’ve had in the Americas region is a strategic goal for RGB and we feel confident that with our unique solution and Simone’s exceptional qualifications we’ll see results quickly.”
Sassoli comes to RGB from SeaChange International where he was most recently Vice President, In-Home Product Sales. He joined SeaChange in 1999 as Director of Broadband Networks, EMEA, and through the years held a variety of positions in sales, strategy and business unit management with the company. Prior to SeaChange, Sassoli spent five years at General Instrument where he held lead roles in engineering and marketing.
“Through RGB’s strong partnership with SeaChange, I’ve had the opportunity to watch closely as RGB developed a unique solution to meet today’s multi-screen requirements, backed by a solid reputation for customer support,” said Simone Sassoli, Vice President, International for RGB Networks. “It’s a very dynamic and exciting time in the industry, where a company like RGB with innovation and quality can take a commanding lead. These key factors have led me to join this team that is shaping the deployment of three screen services.”
Covering the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions, RGB currently has sales and field support teams in Europe, the Middle East, Hong Kong and Beijing. RGB works closely with resellers throughout these regions, including SeaChange and Ericsson on a global basis, to sell and support RGB’s full product line. Sassoli will oversee all of these operations.
