10m watch Scotland exit Euro 2024 on BBC

Scotland’s cruel 1-0 defeat to Hungary attracted over half of the nation’s TV viewers on the evening of June 23rd.
A peak audience of 10 million people watched the BBC’s coverage of Scotland vs Hungary on BBC One. The match was also streamed 3.4 million times across BBC iPlayer, the BBC Sport website and app and there was an average match audience of 8.4 million which resulted in a 52.1 per cent share.
Hungary won via a goal scored by Kevin Csoboth in the last minute of extra time, sealing Scotland’s elimination from the tournament.
The audience was slightly down from Scotland’s game against Germany in the tournament opener (on ITV), but up from the 9.4 million who watched Scotland vs Switzerland on June 19th.
