March 21, 2014
UK free-to-air platform Freeview has added children’s channel ‘Pop’ to its line-up. The CSC Media-owned channel, aimed at kids aged 4-9, is available immediately on Freeview EPG slot 75.
CSC will also launch games on the Pop website and through apps enabling children’s scores and avatars to be displayed on the TV channel.
“Pop will become the UK’s fourth national kids TV network delivering a quality and fun alternative for kids and families in Freeview homes,” commented Pop’s head of children’s channels Dominic Gardiner, the former Disney channels exec.
Pop is already available FTA on the Sky Digital and Freesat platforms and is the first new children’s channel to be added to Freeview in 8 years.
